TARASUKIN BONKERS is a design unit by Takuya Kondo and Hiroyuki Kitada. Living in a small fishing village in southern Izu with about 60 households, they create things they truly want using ordinary materials readily available around them. This is a broom made by combining various general-purpose ropes used on the pier with driftwood found on the beach. While rarely seen in cities, ropes are used daily by the sea, and this broom makes use of them. Each time you pick it up, you'll be reminded of the scenery of their small fishing village. "It's convenient for sweeping tables and desks. It also looks lovely hanging on the wall."Tokio Takizawa)
